We are one people under our Father in heaven. Blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, governed by laws of righteousness. It is our Father's good pleasure to give to us all we desire. Naturally, when one obeys the laws of the land, they are allowed to move freely and benefit from the system under which their government operates. Breaking the law usually requires payment as something is taken away from us.
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live”
When one thinks of a blessing, what comes to mind may be a good thing but a blessing can also be the removal of a bad thing. Our sins were the ultimate bad thing that God paid for by his grace and mercy. His loving sacrifice made it possible for us to be partakers of his eternal promises.
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree”
The word of God is likened to a stone. This stone is a blessing to those with eyes to see it as they can walk freely with their heads held high. When we ignore the stone, we are prone to stumble over it and fall. Be the head and not the tail.
“He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.”
It is important to remember our confession of loyalty to God. A covenant was made. As a covenant people, we are tasked with being a selfless people. A chosen generation with love for one another. Why? We are our Father's blessing. Be a blessing to others and not a curse.
“A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.”
Beloved, thank you for meditating on the word of God. Have a blessed day.
